Market Day October 2026: Celebrating the Spirit of Deepavali 🪔
On 16th October, Upward Learning Centre came alive with colours, laughter and festive excitement as we celebrated our Market Day with a special Deepavali theme!
The day provided our students with a wonderful opportunity to explore the spirit of Deepavali, also known as the Festival of Lights. Through the festive atmosphere, traditional decorations and engaging market activities, students experienced a glimpse of the cultural significance behind this celebration.
Beyond the fun and festivities, Market Day was also a meaningful learning experience. Students had the opportunity to practise essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, decision-making and responsibility. From interacting with their peers to participating in the market activities, every experience encouraged them to step outside their comfort zones and learn through hands-on participation.
We believe that celebrations like these go beyond the classroom. They allow our students to appreciate different cultures, embrace diversity and develop respect for traditions that make our community unique.
A heartfelt thank you to our teachers, staff, parents and students for contributing their time, effort and enthusiasm to make this celebration a memorable one.
May the spirit of Deepavali continue to inspire us with kindness, unity and the light of knowledge. Happy Deepavali! 🪔✨
